COOKING
WITH PASTEL
I got to tell
you I love candies! In Brazil when we are making a party for someone,
or "festa" as we call it, we make lots of candies. Here
are the recipes for 2 of them.
Beijinho
("little kisses")
1 can condensed milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon coconut, or more if you like
Put these in
a pan on the stove and stir till it bubbles, then make the heat
a little less.
Keep stirring, and remember patience. It will take a little time.
When it starts to get thick, if you want to make a big one you can
take it from the stove and put in a dish. Otherwise, keep stirring!
When it's very thick, take it from the stove and cool. Then take
a spoonful and roll it in coconut. Put in little patty pans and
there you are!
Brigadero
1 can condensed
milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon chocolate (ovaltine, nesquik or cocoa, whatever you
like)
Make the same
way as the Beijinho.
If you want to make the rolls, put them in some chocolate sprinkles
and then into the patty pans.
MMMMMM - delicious !!
And as you
can see it's so easy, it's ridiculous!
